2008 Marching Season in
One Minute 30 Seconds
Video by Ashley H.
YOU KNOW YOU’RE A MARCHING BAND PARENT WHEN …
You make three more trips than expected to drop off your child with everything he or she needs.
You can’t pick your child out of the crowd because they all look alike.
You no longer speak of your child as a fourteen-year-old son/daughter, but as a “freshman flute.”
You prominently display a band calendar in your kitchen and have band dates marked on your work calendar.
You know the answer to, “Is the band ready?” (Hint: The band was born ready!)
You understand the saying… "What is the football team doing on our marching field!” -- or -- HALFTIME IS GAMETIME!
You know that “are you ready to jig-hello?” is an opportunity to embarrass our kids beyond belief!
You know no matter what the score, THE BAND ALWAYS WINS!
Your newest best friends are fellow band parents!

A house divided...Lauren Parrish attends Seminole High School and Joshua Parrish attends Lyman High School.            Both are great, but one kind of stands out a bit!
